Flooding continues to affect six provinces across the North, Northeast, Central Plains, and South, impacting over 33,000 families.
The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation reported on Thursday that floods persist in Chiang Rai and Phitsanulok in the North; Nong Khai and Bueng Kan in the Northeast; Ayutthaya in the Central Plains; and Satun in the South, with 33,667 households affected.
In Chiang Rai, floodwaters are receding in Mae Sai and Muang districts, while in Phitsanulok, water levels remain stable in Phrom Phiram, Bang Rakam, and Muang districts. Nong Khai is seeing declining water levels in six districts, including Sangkhom, Sri Chiang Mai, and Tha Bo.
Water levels in Bueng Kan are steady across multiple districts, including So Phisai and Phon Charoen. In Ayutthaya, flood levels are stable in districts such as Bang Ban and Phra Nakhon Sri Ayutthaya. Satun is also experiencing unchanged water levels in several districts, including Muang and Khuan Don.
Since August 16, floods have affected 147,744 families across 30 provinces, resulting in 45 deaths and 24 injuries.
