Despite the sweltering temperatures on March 6th, 2024, foreign tourists continued to luxuriate in the sun and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Pattaya. While the intense heat had a noticeable impact on the daily lives of local Thai residents, numerous international visitors could be seen soaking up the sun on the beaches of the Pattaya area, as reported by the Thai local media.
These tourists were observed unwinding on the sandy shores of Pattaya and partaking in water-based activities as they normally would. Some chose to relax beneath beach umbrellas, relishing seafood dishes in the cool shade. The resilience of Pattaya’s stunning 3-kilometer coastline stood evident as it remained a sought-after destination for global tourists, even amidst the blistering temperatures.
The Thai Meteorological Department has issued warnings stating that all regions in Thailand are at risk of temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius during March and April. Specifically, five provinces – Mae Hong Son, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Tak, and Udon Thani – are anticipated to encounter temperatures soaring as high as 44 degrees Celsius. With this, there is a heightened threat of wildfires, heat-related illnesses, and heat strokes during this period. To mitigate these risks, the department advises individuals to maintain proper hydration levels.
