Two Foreign Tourists Die in Van Crash

On the Chiang Mai – Pai route in Mae Taeng, Chiang Mai, the emergency response teams in Chiang Mai received a report of an accident involving a commuter van that had crashed onto the wayside. There were two fatalities among visitors from other countries, and 10 others were injured.
When the rescue crews arrived at the scene of the event, they discovered the bodies of two visitors from a foreign country who had not been identified, in addition to ten injured people of Thai and other countries. The injured patients were taken to the Mae Taeng Hospital for treatment.
The report from the Chiang Mai rescue teams stated that the commuter van was on its way to Mae Hong Son when, for reasons that are yet unknown, the van unexpectedly crashed onto the side of the road around 9:30 in the morning.
At first, the officers of the local police department promised to continue their investigation in order to discover the real reason for the tragedy.
