In a tragic incident, a burglar broke into a rented room in Na Jomtien and took a 4-year-old child’s piggy bank as well as other items valued over 100,000 baht. According to reports, the incident terrified the toddler.
The theft took place in the home development known as Baan Eua-Athorn Na Jomtien, which is located in the Chonburi province’s Banglamung district’s Na Jomtien subdistrict. Police raced to the location as soon as they received the report on Sunday, June 2.
After speaking with the victim, Ms. Nisachon Charoenpong, 26, at the rental property, authorities learned that her room had been broken into by a thief. She showed the police officers where the robber took three piggy banks from her 4-year-old child as well as other valuables worth over 100,000 baht as she led them inside the room.
According to Ms. Nisachon, the thief entered the room at 5 p.m. on July 1st while neither she nor her child were present. The secured door was left open and the lights were on when she went back to her room at 5:00 AM the following day.
The Pattaya News has omitted the child’s identity owing to his young age, but he had been dutifully saving from his school money. He was apparently traumatized by what had happened and remained silent following the tragedy.
Ms. Nisachon pleaded with the police to apprehend the perpetrator immediately. In order to avoid a repeat, she also demanded that the manager of the housing development install more CCTV cameras.
