On May 27, early on a Saturday morning at Patong Beach, a Russian tourist had drowned
The victim had drowned at 7:30 in the morning. Rescue workers needed around 20 minutes to locate the foreign man floating in the sea after they promptly arrived at the beach.
The victim, a 53-year-old Russian man named Mr. Rafaylovich Pavel, was brought up to the beach. At the scene, he was identified as deceased.
He perished after getting into problems in the water, according to his wife, whose identity was concealed, who told Thai media that the couple had gone swimming before.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the family, who have already notified the Russian embassy.
