On the evening of May 16, a motorbike thief was killed when he collided with a car while attempting to flee the scene of his crime.
Ms. Krittiya Waiyakula, 29, the driver of the Toyota Yaris involved in the collision, told police that a speeding motorbike traveling in the wrong direction suddenly came right for her as she was returning home to Pattaya after work on the badly illuminated and still-under-construction Sukhumvit highway.
The motorcyclist rammed into her car head-on because she was unable to brake quickly enough to escape it.The owner of the motorcycle, Mr. Neanrit Arison, used the iPad he had placed under the motorcycle seat while visiting the Pattaya Night Market to track down the whereabouts of his stolen red Yamaha Filano. Sadly, when he eventually located his bike, Chalermpol, the 42-year-old robber, was already dead and laying next to it on the road.
Before questioning the car’s driver, police conducted a scene investigation to ascertain the accident’s cause. In relation to the theft, they also questioned the motorcycle’s owner.
