10 people have been arrested and further two are being sought by police for the beating of a man in Haiya yesterday, Aug. 6.
The beating took place at the southwest corner of the moat – the intersection Sridonchai, Kotchasarn and Rat Chiang Saen Roads at 1:30 a.m.
Those arrested ranged between the ages of 14 and 33 with most of the men living in two accommodation blocks in Haiya.
According to reports, the group of men claimed to have been abused by another group of men earlier in the evening. Later spotting one of the members of the group they decided to teach him a lesson.
The victim, Mr. Chanudam Saengwao, 22 were taken to hospital. His current condition is not known but was earlier described as being in a serious condition.
Police are asking two other men – Mr. Krirk Kiatlomdee, 20 of Suriyawong Road, Haiya and Mr. Thanadol Manat, 20 years of Rakhang Road Haiya to hand themselves in.
