On February 5th, 2024, a raid was conducted by the Pattaya police at a deserted hotel in Soi Jomtien 1, resulting in the arrest of five individuals who were suspected of involvement in drug-related activities and illegal electricity use.

Acting on information provided by concerned citizens, a team led by Pol. Col. Navin Teerawit, the Superintendent of the Pattaya Police Station, searched the abandoned hotel located in Banglamung district, Chonburi province. The hotel had been left vacant during the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the operation, the authorities noticed signs of trespassing on the property. Despite the presence of several no-trespassing signs, the police were able to apprehend five unidentified individuals who were found to be secretly living in separate rooms within the hotel. Following a thorough search, drug paraphernalia was discovered in each of the occupied rooms, indicating potential drug use. Additionally, it was revealed that the individuals had been illegally using electricity within the premises.

The five suspects were apprehended and subsequently taken to the Pattaya Police Station. At the station, they underwent urine tests, which confirmed the presence of substances in their systems. Consequently, they were detained for further investigation and legal proceedings.
