In a secluded area of Nong Prue Subdistrict, a disturbing discovery has disrupted the tranquility and turned it into a tragic incident. A 30-year-old woman named Romnalin was found dead in her condominium room on January 17, shattering the peace of the residential neighborhood. The alert was raised due to a disturbing smell emanating from her room, and Romnalin had been unreachable for nearly one and a half weeks before her tragic end.
Officials promptly responded to the distress call, with Deputy Inspector Thanakorn Sueatrong from Nong Prue Police Station leading the team. The team consisted of Station Head Wattanachai Saengrit, Deputy Investigation Officer Arut Saphanon, forensic specialists, the local police’s investigation unit, and members of a rescue foundation. Romnalin’s body was discovered lying partially clothed at the foot of her bed, showing signs of decomposition. Based on the state of the body, it is estimated that she had passed away eight to nine days prior.
Forensic experts meticulously collected evidence from the scene as the grim reality unfolded. It was revealed that the condominium staff hadn’t seen Romnalin for approximately a week, and their attempts to contact her had been unsuccessful. Ultimately, the staff decided to enter her room due to the alarming smell, only to be met with a horrifying sight: the door was locked from the inside, and Romnalin’s lifeless body lay within.
As authorities seek answers, the last known communication Romnalin had was with her mother on January 8. The police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the condominium to identify any unusual activity. Romnalin’s body has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the Police General Hospital for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. During the ongoing investigation, the condominium staff, the deceased’s relatives, and her family are being questioned to ensure proper legal procedures are followed. The community, filled with shock and sorrow, awaits the revelation of the circumstances leading to this tragic end of a young life.
