On the morning of August 1, a big fire broke out at a three-story house on Soi Na Jomtien 1, burning for around 30 minutes until being extinguished by the Khao Chi Chan fire department.
The fire damaged important objects including as cash worth over 3.5 million Baht, diamonds, gold, bank documents, land titles, and other assets, resulting in losses of roughly 15 million Baht.
The house’s anonymous owner told police that they heard an explosion on the second story before the fire started. Authorities believe an electrical short circuit was the cause of the fire, but the Chonburi Forensic Science Center will undertake additional investigations to determine the exact cause.
