Woman dragged off plane ( video)

A woman was thrown off a Ryanair flight after lashing out when she was asked to wear a face covering.

Footage shows the passenger, thought to be Italian, becoming increasingly irate and verbally insulting people.

The situation then escalates and she then starts spitting at people and assaulting them – including pulling the hair of someone sat in the row in front of her.

In a later video clip she is seen being restrained by cabin crew and then kicks a male passenger.

It is understood the situation arose after flight attendants and other passengers asked her to put her face mask on due to coronavirus restrictions.

The flight, which was from Ibiza to Milan, had not yet taken off and the woman was eventually dragged off the plane.

Throughout the whole clip she is seen with it under her chin.

Footage from the flight circulated online last week and it spread quickly, but it is not clear when the incident took place

Ryanair requires all passengers to wear masks during flights, and both the nose and mouth must be covered.

The covering can only be removed to eat or drink.

It is unclear if the woman faced any further disciplinary action other than being removed from the plane.

This is not the only incident in recent weeks where conflict over face masks on planes has ensued.

Kieran Harris, 19, left two air hostesses fearing for their lives when he began ‘foaming at the mouth’ and told them to give him oral sex.

He told a flight attendant: ‘I know people – I’m not scared of the police,’ during the three-hour flight from Alicante to Manchester on March 13.

Two airlines have also said they will ban alcohol sales on their planes after a flight attendant had her teeth knocked out by a passenger.

Southwest Airlines and American Airlines said they will stop serving alcoholic drinks on board because of recent similar incidents.

Industry insiders say there has been an increase in unruly behaviour since people have started travelling again.
