Train derails due to Side Runoff

A train derailed early on Saturday morning in this northern province, resulting in a few minor casualties.

Authorities stated that Special Express Train 13 derailed as it passed through Phrae at 5.48 in the morning on its way from Bangkok to Chiang Mai.

Runoff from the forest hit the locomotive, a baggage car, and a sleeper car, which all fell off the train.

One passenger received minor injuries as a result of the event, and they have subsequently been relocated to another train where they are now traveling.

While efforts are made to retrieve the derailed vehicles, the 8/102 line has been momentarily suspended.
