Tour Bus Overturns in Surat Thani, Injuring Ten Foreign Tourists
SURAT THANI, Thailand – Ten foreign tourists were injured when a tour bus overturned on a highway in Surat Thani on Friday afternoon.
The accident occurred around noon on Highway No. 44, in Phrasaeng district, according to the Kusol Sattha Rescue Foundation.
Authorities reported that the driver lost control, causing the bus to overturn and crash into the road median. The vehicle, which had Bangkok license plates, was transporting 40 foreign tourists along with three staff members.
Casualties and Investigation
Rescue teams arrived at the scene to assist the injured. Seven tourists sustained minor injuries, while three others required hospitalization. Their names and nationalities have yet to be disclosed.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
