Under the direction of Police Lieutenant Colonel Yutthana Phraedam, Acting Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, and Police Lieutenant Colonel Phayao Thongsen, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, orders were given to Police Captain Pholsan Thoedsanguan, Director of the Intellectual Property Crime Division, Police Lieutenant Colonel Yutthana Tangkolap, Deputy Director of the Intellectual Property Crime Division, and Mr. Sakda Pipattanathamkul, Director of the Intellectual Property Crime Section 3. Together with officers from the Intellectual Property Crime Division and the Special Operations Division, they executed three search warrants issued by the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court. The warrants targeted three locations in Bang Rak Phatthana and Bang Khu Rat sub-districts, Bang Bua Thong district, Nonthaburi province, where counterfeit goods, such as bags, glasses, perfumes, watches, hats, and other items infringing on trademarks, were stored and sold. Representatives of the affected companies were present to observe the operations.
The search uncovered thousands of counterfeit items, including bags, glasses, perfumes, watches, hats, and other goods infringing on the trademarks of leading companies such as Louis Vuitton, CHANEL, GUCCI, Dior, Hermes, Cartier, CELINE, and COACH. Additionally, several million baht in related financial accounts were discovered, indicating possible violations of the Trademark Act, B.E. 2534 (1991), and its amendments. The Department of Special Investigation seized the counterfeit goods and handed them over to special investigation officers in the Intellectual Property Crime Division for examination and as evidence in proceedings under the Special Case Investigation Act, B.E. 2547 (2004), and its amendments.
