Later this year, the airline with its headquarters in Dubai plans to roll out its newest, most luxurious business class seat.
Today in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the Arabian Travel Market began. Flydubai launched its new offering right away while the festivities were in progress.
“Above expectations”
Flydubai and its partners created the Business Suite specifically for narrowbody aircraft. Before the year is out, six of the airline’s Boeing 737 MAX aircraft will have new 10 suites installed. The airline’s comfortable new premium business class product offers direct aisle access in an effort to compete with widebody carriers.
The company is eager to begin this new chapter in its brief history and anticipates finishing the first cabin fit in November. In a statement on the new seat, flydubai CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith made the following remarks:
“Flydubai is committed to going above and beyond. Over the past 14 years, our company’s operations and product offerings have changed from the initial no-frills model to meet the constantly expanding needs of our clients and the markets we serve.
Since the launch of our first Business Class offering in 2013, which has been very helpful to us, we have come a long way. We are excited to present a brand-new premium offering that competes with the Business Class service provided by numerous airlines on wide-body aircraft. We’ll keep making investments in innovation to improve customer service across our expanding fleet.
flydubai Director of inflight products Daniel Kerrison stated that the new executive suite will raise the bar on comfort. He lists qualities like:
Height of the back-shell has increased.
a door to a living room
Every passenger has easy access to the aisle
more cozy and private
Over the course of three years, flydubai worked with Safran Seats and JPA Design to develop the seat. The proposal aims to provide the comfort and space of a widebody on a narrowbody as a result. This decision is demonstrated by “privacy never before seen on Boeing 737s.”
The seat will also come with extra features like ambient lighting and covert storage areas. Additionally, passengers will be able to use their own headphones to enjoy the inflight entertainment (IFE) on 17-inch 4K touchscreens.
There will be a variety of meals, snacks, and hot and cold beverages available during onboard dining. Hot meals will be offered on flights that last 90 minutes or more.
