A video shared on Facebook has revealed the taxi drivers special rip off button attached to the meter.
The button can be pressed when driving which secretly ramps up the charges for passengers in Thailand.

After being confronted by a reporter this driver admitted his fraudulent behavior.
But, with a child like logic, he pleaded that he only did it ‘sometimes to add about 20 baht – here and there.’
A policeman explained the crime, but it is unclear if the driver will be charged with any offence. Or if the police intend to check ALL taxi meters.
In Vietnam taxi drivers are known to use ‘fast meters’ which double or treble charges for passengers. When caught they are usually jailed.
