A motorcyclist snatched the handbag of a Taiwanese tourist who had just arrived in Ayutthaya province Thursday morning.
The tourist police were informed at 11.30am that the tourist, Xingfan Wu, was attacked while walking on Naresuan Road in Tambon Horatanchai in Muang district where she looking for a guesthouse.
The woman told police that a man on a black motorcycle snatched her bag, causing her to fall. The bag had some cash and her passport.
The bag snatcher sped off towards Uthong Road. A motorcyclist who saw the incident went in pursuit but lost sight of the snatcher in front of Wat Xian, police said.
