A Swiss expatriate residing in Pattaya suffered critical injuries after being struck by a car while riding his three-wheeled electric scooter to purchase medicine. His wife is advocating for justice, asserting that the other party has shirked responsibility.
As per Mrs. Samrit Geisbuehler, the incident occurred on April 19th around 9:50 AM, as her 73-year-old husband, Mr. Andeks Geisbuehler, was en route to procure his usual medication. CCTV footage depicts the collision between the Isuzu Mu-X car and Mr. Andeks’s scooter at an intersection along a railway in the Khao Talo area, South Pattaya.
Mr. Andeks was swiftly taken to the hospital with severe injuries and is currently in the ICU. Mrs. Samrit expressed disappointment at the apparent lack of support from the driver, alleging no words of sympathy or financial aid have been extended to her Swiss spouse. Medical expenses have already exceeded 200,000 baht, yet the driver, whose identity remains undisclosed due to an ongoing investigation, purportedly attempted to shift full responsibility to the insurance company. Additionally, Mrs. Samrit is troubled by the sluggish progress of the investigation. The Nongprue police, handling the case, have yet to ascertain fault or arrange a meeting between the involved parties.
Concerned that the matter may be neglected, Mrs. Samrit is reaching out to the media to garner support in pursuing justice for her husband. She is adamant that the driver be held answerable for their actions and that her husband receives due justice
