(AOT) PLC issued an official statement regarding a viral video showing two security officers at Suvarnabhumi Airport engaged in a heated argument in front of the passenger terminal. According to AOT, the incident took place at 2 PM on June 4th and involved a personal dispute between the two officers while they were on duty and in uniform. AOT officials condemned their behavior, stating it was unacceptable and violated the organization’s rules and practices. As a result, both officers were immediately suspended, and an independent committee was established to investigate the incident further and determine appropriate disciplinary actions in accordance with AOT regulations.In their statement, AOT also issued a public apology for the officers’ actions, underscoring the importance of employee discipline. Officials mentioned that the maximum penalty for such misconduct could be dismissal from AOT employment.
The cause of the dispute was not revealed by AOT, and the names of the men involved were not released to the media.
