Over 2,000 passionate runners from 30 different countries came along the scenic coastline of Pattaya for the “Pattaya International Bikini Beach Race,” creating a breathtaking spectacle that the coastal city witnessed.
This exciting beachside race, which is conducted by Pattaya City in association with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Central Pattaya retail complex, is in its seventh year. It took place on October 28, 2023.
The mayor of Pattaya, Mr. Poramase Ngampiches, honored the occasion by welcoming the 2,000 runners dressed in bikinis. Together with other famous visitors, celebrities, and gorgeous models, there were also notable figures in attendance, such as Mr. Niti Wiwatwanich, Deputy Governor of Chonburi, and Ms. Suphaporn Seniwong, Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Pattaya Office).
In expressing his enthusiasm for the occasion, Mr. Poramase noted that the bikini beach race was the biggest and most spectacular seaside competition in Thailand. Prizes for the 5-kilometer race totaled more than 300,000 baht and were split into six categories: best-looking runners, top male and female finishers, and even honors for the most fashionable bikini team and most elaborate costume.
The race’s objectives this year were to boost sports tourism and draw in both domestic and foreign visitors to Pattaya, so aiding in the area’s economic revival. According to Mr. Poramase, the event was successful in establishing Pattaya as a top travel destination by attracting over 2,000 runners from across the world.
As this magnificent event came to an end, Pattaya had not only seen an amazing feat of athletics, but it had also made a strong statement about its standing in the world. Beyond just being a gorgeous competition, the Pattaya International Bikini Beach Race celebrates variety, togetherness, and the spirit of adventure.
