S Korean tourist dies after falling from sixth floor of Pattaya hotel

S Korean Tourist Dies: A South Korean man fell to his death from his room on the sixth floor of a hotel in Pattaya early Tuesday, police said.

Pattaya police station was alerted at 5.30am that a tourist had died after plunging from the KTK Royal Residence on Soi 12 Central Pattaya, in Tambon Nong Plue of Chon Buri’s Bang Lamung district.

The man was identified as Jaewon Park, 51, who had been staying in a room on the sixth floor.

His naked body was found near the hotel’s wall, while his boxer shorts were found on a tree that he had hit on his way down.

Hotel security officer Wiroj Samart, 42, said he heard a loud noise and came out to check what had happened, finding the body.

Police have yet to investigate whether the South Korean accidentally or intentionally fell to his death.
