Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn has granted a Bt500,000 fund to Chiang Rai provincial governor Narongsak Osottanakorn to aid the search and rescue operations for 12 young footballers and their deputy coach who went missing in the northern province’s flooded cave at the weekend.
Interior Ministry’s deputy permanent secretary, Supachai Iamsuwan, was representing Narongsak to receive the royally granted money on Wednesday at Chulabhon Hospital in Bangkok.
It would reportedly buy medicine and supplies for the search and rescue operation at the Luang Cave in Tham Luang-Khun Nam Nang Non Forest Park, as the princess said she was concerned about the trapped youths and she wished the rescuers success.
