As Pattaya police searched yet another nightclub, a woman from Laos was detained for exceeding her visa’s validity by more than three years.
Late on April 26, some 50 officers descended on the Panda Club on Walking Street, putting a halt to the fun and detaining all patrons and employees for drug tests and identity checks.There were a total of 80 Chinese people apprehended, along with nine South Koreans, 72 Thai, and the unidentified Laotian woman. All but her were released despite their innocence.
Nevertheless, the Laotian woman will be charged with immigration violations for exceeding the 1,000-day limit.
