Pit Bull Dogs Break Loose

Pit Bull Dogs Break Loose
Panic erupted in Sattahip when three pit bull dogs broke loose, attacking people and pets in the area. Authorities successfully sedated two of the dogs, but one fled into a nearby forest, and efforts to capture it are still ongoing.

Late last night, Kledkaew Subdistrict Municipality issued a public warning on their Facebook page, reporting a pit bull sighting near Thewi Park Village in Moo 9. They urged pet owners with missing dogs to check the area and advised residents to remain cautious.

The incident began in the afternoon when the pit bulls, aggressive and seemingly ownerless, were spotted in Moo 9, Bang Saray Subdistrict. They chased and attacked both residents and pets. Local authorities immediately responded, broadcasting warnings for people to stay alert.

Yosawat Phuwaratlertkhun, Mayor of Kledkaew Subdistrict Municipality, led a team from the Public Health and Environmental Department and the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Division to investigate. They discovered three female pit bulls, aged 2-3 years, and contacted Sattahip’s livestock department for assistance. Working together, they managed to tranquilize two dogs, while the third escaped into a forested area in Moo 9.

Authorities are currently monitoring the situation as they attempt to capture the remaining dog using tranquilizers. So far, no one has claimed ownership of the dogs. The two sedated pit bulls are now in cages, and if no owner steps forward, they will be transferred to a local stray dog shelter for care.
