At ONE Lumpinee 16 on Friday, May 12, “The Queen” destroyed French challenger Ines Pilutti in the final seconds of the first round of their atomweight Muay Thai contest.
Pilutti was defeated by Petjeeja thanks to her aggression and strong hands; the Thai fighter earned her second victory in a ONE Championship match, extending her overall winning run to ten fights.
The Team Mehdi Zatout representative also impressed ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong, who gave her a 3.5 million baht contract with the promotion in addition to a 350,000 baht performance bonus.
Through the arrangement, Petjeeja will appear on ONE’s “Fight Night” series in US primetime and get a significant promotional boost toward international recognition.
She expressed her excitement to ONE Commentator Mitch Chilson in her post-fight speech.
“I would want to thank Khun Chatri for this wonderful opportunity. I swear I’ll keep working out and get better,” she declared.
The Sisaket native gained early notoriety for participating in over 100 fights before the age of 10. There weren’t enough female opponents at the time to satisfy her appetite for Muay Thai fighting, so at least 70 of those early fights were against guys.
Since then, Petjeeja has amassed a stunning 203-12 professional record and a 5-0 record in Western boxing.
The powerful atomweight was a previous WPMF and WMC world champion in Muay Thai before taking home the coveted Thai Fight Queen’s Cup trophy in 2021.
Allycia Hellen Rodrigues of Brazil presently holds the title of divisional queen in the ONE atomweight Muay Thai division, which Petjeeja will focus on.
