Pattaya getting 30,000 sandbags ready for the rain season

Mayor Poramet Ngampichet gave the Public Health Department instructions to make sure that residents have enough sand bags to place around their properties to stop flood waters from rushing into their homes and harming their properties. Reason is  because of the impending rainy season and the inevitable flooding throughout the city.

For distribution, the city first purchased approximately 30,000 sandbags. On June 1, residents of the city’s flood-prone neighborhoods received truckloads of sand and bags. Sandbags can be obtained from the wastewater treatment plant in Soi Nongyai in east Pattaya by locals who require them for home protection. For verification purposes, kindly present your ID card or a duplicate of it.

On the basis of a queue system, the city will offer home delivery services to those who are unable to collect the sandbags themselves.

To arrange for delivery, get in touch with 096-9387359, 083-1352449, or the emergency number 1337 MAX. Sandbags will be freely delivered to residents’ doorsteps, according to Pattaya City.
