In order to speed up the stalled road construction off Pattaya Second Road and Soi 15 Buakhao, near the Avenue Pattaya shopping mall, a member of the Pattaya City Council filed a complaint with the Pattaya authorities. Inquiring about the status of the drainage system project in Soi Kaset Suwann 15.
Which will eventually link to Pattaya Beach Road, Mr. Bunjong Banthuprapat, a member of the Pattaya City Council, District 3, met with the pertinent officials yesterday, May 24.
The project spans 1,050 meters from the Wat Chai Mongkhon Intersection to Soi Pattaya Sai 2, Soi 10, and 894 meters from Soi Kaset Suwann 15 to the Bua Khao Intersection. It involves excavation, drainage pipe construction, and road resurfacing.
The contractor has not yet carried out any longterm resurfacing of the road surface, Mr. Bunjong noted, despite the fact that the excavation and pipe installation has been finished and the road surface has been backfilled with dirt.
To allow vehicles to pass, temporary solutions have been utilized, such as covering the unsurfaced road with metal plates.Mr. Bunjong issued a warning that these actions put the general population and visitors who traveled in the area in danger.
Finally, he appealed to the city government to hasten the required procedures and finish the project as quickly as feasible.Mr. Anuwat Thongkam, Director of the Pattaya Bureau of Sanitation Technicians, accepted the council member’s complaint.
He said that problems with the under-the-road public utility systems had caused the project to be delayed. According to the construction contract, he stated that he anticipated the project to be finished between the end of May and the middle of July 2023.According to TPN media, the construction project has been ongoing for more than a year and has been beset by numerous issues.
