Now Chonburi bans all alcohol till April 30

Alcohol sales

We knew it was coming and now it has. The Governor of Chonburi tonight has released the order that all sales of alcohol will be banned till April the 30th all over the province and this does include Pattaya.

In the order, it states that drinking outside is against the law.

This ban is effective as of immediately and includes any transportation of alcohol and shops that supply alcohol.

The new order has been issued to try and motivate people to practise social distancing and curb the spread of COVID-19. As Songkran is fast approaching, this will stop people from gathering and spreading the virus further.

If people break the rules then they can see themselves having fines up to 100,000 baht and up to 1 year in prison.
