Police are coordinating with Interpol to locate a Moroccan man suspected of fleeing Thailand after killing his boyfriend, Thitikan Dulikanont, also known as Dr. Sammy, the operator of a well-known aesthetic clinic in Chiang Mai province. The murder was reported on Friday morning by a maid at Dr. Sammy Clinic in Mae Hia subdistrict, Muang district. The maid discovered Thitikan’s body on the third floor of the clinic, with bruises around his neck. Authorities found an elastic rope in the room and believe it may have been used to strangle the victim.
Investigations revealed that Thitikan, a transgender woman, had entered the clinic with her boyfriend, Bilal Chefinu, a Moroccan national, on the night of December 4. Surveillance footage showed Chefinu leaving the clinic at 2 a.m. on December 5 in Thitikan’s car. The suspect abandoned the car on Moon Muang Road in the Si Phum subdistrict before taking a Tuk Tuk to Chiang Mai International Airport. Police reported that Chefinu boarded AirAsia flight FD515 to Hong Kong at 6 a.m. on December 5.
The Chiang Mai provincial court issued an arrest warrant for Chefinu on charges of first-degree murder. Police have contacted Interpol to issue a red notice for the suspect and assist in his capture. Meanwhile, the victim’s body has been sent to Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital for an autopsy to confirm the cause of death.
