Marathon sets new record

This past weekend, more than 14,000 Thai and foreign runners participated in the prestigious Pattaya Marathon, which was held for the 30th time. Poramese Ngampiches, the mayor of Pattaya City, opened the event, which departs from Terminal 21.

The marathon, which is held on July 22 and 23, is not only a test of tenacity and willpower; it has evolved into one of the region’s most emblematic sporting occasions. It supports Pattaya’s standing as a major pillar for the development of international sports tourism. It is really worth observing the camaraderie displayed by Thai and foreign runners during this annual event.

The 30th Pattaya Marathon has received enthusiastic support from numerous government offices and enterprises, Poramese informed Thai media. The Pattaya Marathon, a major component of sports tourism, was founded in 1992 and has been running regularly for the past 31 years.
“The Pattaya Marathon has become one of Pattaya’s signature events, supporting Pattaya as a future international sports tourism hub and the epicenter of sports in Southeast Asia,” he went on to say. Pattaya residents are proud to host this big annual running tournament.
