Man plows motorbike into street sign and passes away

On June 19, a young guy who was riding a motorcycle when it collided with a street sign and broke his neck was killed in a traffic collision in Banglamung area.

Yesterday early in the morning, Sawang Boriboon rescuers and Banglamung Police, who had been alerted to the accident, arrived at the scene in the Banglamung sub-district of Banglamung district, Chobnuri province.

Many onlookers at the scene were attempting to assist the victim, Mr. Thawatchai Sopawong, 23, who was laying in a pool of blood next to his black GPX 125 motorcycle. The Thai man had broken his neck, as well as his arms and legs. His demise was confirmed by Sawang Boriboon rescuers at the scene. The body of the dead was moved to Banglamung Hospital for further funeral preparations.

Witness Mr. Natthapong Sirisopagul reported that the victim lost control of his bike and slammed into a street sign on a pavement before calling the police. Natthapong discovered the victim as he lay motionless on the ground.Pol. Lt. Col. Yutthakarn Prabpai told the local media after seeing the CCTV footage of the collision that the victim was moving quickly before ramming his car into the sign. At the scene, his motorcycle helmet was discovered.
