Man claims to be a Politician leaves restaurant without paying

A man in Pattaya who claimed to know a well-known politician allegedly fled a neighborhood Thai restaurant without paying his bill, which was close to 1,000 baht. ‘Gin Gab Gia’ restaurant proprietor Jinwara Rebedef is located on Thepprasit Road.

Yesterday, the well-dressed man entered the establishment and placed an order for food and many beverages. He spoke to Jinwara, saying that his employer would pay the bill and that he worked for a local politician.

The man occasionally left the restaurant to smoke outdoors before coming back.

The suspect abruptly rose from where Jinwara was cleaning in the restaurant’s back room and dashed off on a motorcycle. Jinwara tried to catch up with him, but the man got away.

Customers have already walked out of Jinwara’s eatery twice without paying their tabs. Jinwara claimed that these incidences have had a substantial financial impact despite the fact that she only makes a few hundred baht each day in profit. The man owed perhaps near a thousand baht on his account.

Jinwara pleaded with anyone who knows the man to urge him to come back and settle the fee. Police in Pattaya are looking into the event right now. The man’s claim to work for an unnamed local official is disputed by Jinwara and the Pattaya police.
