A MALAYSIAN ex-king has split from his Russian model wife just weeks after their son was born, according to reports.
Sultan Muhammad V of Kelatan gave up the throne to marry former Miss Moscow Rihana Oksana Voevodina last November.
But the 50-year-old monarch and his beauty queen bride, 27, have now divorced six months after their union rocked Malaysian high society, the Straits Times reports.
The divorce was registered on July 1 with a certificate bearing the Kelantan state crest and is marked as the copy of the wife, indicates that the divorce was done through the utterance of the word “talak” three times – the most severe and irreversible form of divorce in Islam.
It states that the divorce was registered in Singapore.
The British educated Sultan abdicated early this year after revealing pictures and lurid sex claims were published about his new wife’s past life as a reality TV show star in her homeland.
Oksana confirmed the birth of a son, whom she had on 21 May – the first child of her royal husband Muhammad, who is 24 years her senior.
She posted a series of family photos to Instagram with messages in both English and Russian.
One photo shows the new mum cradling her baby’s feet in one hand.
She captioned the snap: “21 May 2019 – the day when my life was divided into ‘before’ and ‘after’.
“Everything that I was told about the changes occurring with a woman after the birth of a baby is true.
“This love is special. These feelings are completely new. I am grateful to Allah and my husband for our son. Now there are three of us.”
The new mother also revealed her baby’s full name as Tengku Ismail Leon Petra Bin Tengku Muhammad V Faris Petra.
Alongside the announcement were a series of glamorous new pictures from Oksana’s pregnancy and Moscow wedding.
In one snap, she wears a silk and lace dressing gown whilst cradling her bump.
The caption reads: “It was the most important and, at the same time, the most difficult period in my life.
“The last three months of pregnancy I spent in hospitals, staying in bed with (drips in) both hands. I had too many difficulties with pregnancy.
‘The support of my closest people and my love for my son and Faith in the best helped me in that not simple time.’
In another glamorous pregnancy snap, she refers to her new son: “One day you will see this photo. You are not born here yet.
“But I already love you with unconditional universal love …”
And recalling her Moscow marriage, she said: “I want to say thank you to the people who shared this happy moment with us and were together with us that evening!
“It was wonderful and beautiful wedding…”
Oksana also confirmed she and the then king underwent a secret Muslim wedding some five months before her very public ceremony in Moscow when she wore a dress she had been “dreaming about since childhood”.
She and the former monarch will mark the anniversary of their nuptials this Friday.
