Late-night raid on Pattaya nightclub

Pattaya police and officers from the Department of Provincial Administration (DOPA) began a crackdown on Pattaya’s entertainment venues in an effort to combat illegal activities, enforce closing times, and address substance abuse, particularly among young people.
Around 50 tourists and employees were seen dancing enthusiastically when law enforcement officers stormed a nightclub on Soi Chalerm Phrakiat 29 around 3.30 a.m. Many of them were clearly drunk. The establishment promptly halted operations, switched on the lights, and turned off the music. Authorities conducted thorough inspections, looking at both staff and patrons’ identification credentials. Additionally, the property was searched for illegal substances.
Five employees were discovered to have urine that was purple in hue, which may indicate drug usage. A white powder that was wrapped in ziplock bags and believed to be a controlled substance was also taken as proof.
Initial inquiries revealed that the business lacks the licenses needed to function as a place of entertainment and sell alcoholic beverages. As a result, the owners have been taken into custody to be questioned more, and the employees are being looked at. Depending on how the investigation turns out, legal action will be taken.
