Kylian Mbappe expressed that there is “no limit” to what he and Real Madrid can achieve together after scoring on his debut against Atalanta, leading the club to a record sixth UEFA Super Cup title.
The France captain completed a long-anticipated transfer this summer, moving from Paris Saint-Germain after a successful tenure filled with accolades. Despite rejoining training just over a week ago, Mbappe made an immediate impact, scoring a clinical goal just 70 minutes into his first match to secure silverware for his new team.
“It was a great night; I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time,” Mbappe told Movistar in fluent Spanish. “Wearing this shirt, representing this badge, and playing for these fans is a gift for me.”
With an impressive roster that includes Vinicius Jr, Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, and Endrick, the addition of Mbappe—a player widely regarded as one of the best in the world—significantly enhances the squad for manager Carlo Ancelotti.
As the new season approaches, Mbappe emphasized their potential. “We are at Real Madrid; we have no limit. If I can score 50 goals, then I’ll aim for that, but the most important thing is winning and growing as a team, because we will win as a team,” he said.
England midfielder Bellingham, who played a key role in the victory and assisted Mbappe’s goal, praised his new teammate: “He’s just one of those players, brilliant and sharp. He has so much technical quality and is a great teammate who works hard for the team.”
Ancelotti also commended Mbappe’s performance, stating, “Mbappe adapted well to the team. He combined effectively with Vinicius Jr and Bellingham. We possess a lot of quality, but it’s essential to play together—and we did that tonight.”
