Indian Tourist Attacked and Robbed in Pattaya Allegedly Over Escort Payment Dispute

Pattaya police are investigating an incident in which an Indian tourist was assaulted and robbed by four women after an alleged dispute over payment for escort services.

Incident Details

At 3:20 AM on March 21st, Pattaya police received a report of a violent robbery at a rental house on Soi Kromti Din 2. Emergency responders from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation rushed to the scene alongside law enforcement.

Upon arrival, officers discovered bloodstains at the house entrance, a 100-baht banknote near the swimming pool, and broken beer bottles scattered across the area.

The victim, identified only as Mr. N, a 40-year-old Indian national, suffered injuries, including a cut on his left eyebrow and swelling on his head after being struck with a beer bottle. He was given first aid before being transported to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital for further treatment.

Victim’s Testimony

Mr. N told police that he and two friends, also Indian nationals, had rented the house for four days at 5,000 baht per night. On the night of the attack, they took a walk along Walking Street before returning home.

According to his account, they were followed by four Thai women on two motorcycles, who then entered their rental house and demanded 6,000 baht. When Mr. N hesitated, one of the women allegedly threatened him with a beer bottle. Out of fear, he threw 4,000 baht at them, but they refused to leave and instead hit him on the head with the bottle.

As the situation escalated, one of Mr. N’s frightened friends handed over 10,000 baht, after which the women fled. The victims then contacted a Thai friend in Bangkok, who alerted police and emergency services.

Police Investigation and Doubts

Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area to track down the suspects. However, officers expressed skepticism over the victims’ statements.

Notably, the victims initially requested only medical assistance and declined police involvement, raising suspicions. Investigators believe the incident may have stemmed from a dispute over payment for escort services, though the case remains under investigation.
