Indian Nationals fight over a Thai Woman

Indian tourist in Pattaya was critically hurt during a brawl with his fellow countrymen, allegedly over a Thai woman.
Mr. Ranbir K., 52, the injured tourist, sustained a shattered right arm and major injuries to his right eye.

He allegedly got into a fight with a group of Indian nationals on Soi 16 in South Pattaya, Banglamung district, Chonburi province.

The incident occurred at 4:30 a.m. today, August 9th. After stitching up the sufferer, Sawang Boriboon emergency services transferred him to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.

Following that, the other party involved in the incident, Mr. Mohak G, 28, arrived at the Pattaya police station to provide his testimony to the Pattaya police regarding the brawl.

According to Mohak, Ranbir, the alleged victim, attacked him first after allegedly approaching him violently with a group of 7-8 people.

Mr. Mohak stated that he merely attempted to defend himself and escaped unharmed.

Then, a number of Thai women (names omitted at their request) who were friends of the injured victim, Ranbir, came to the Pattaya Police Station to give their side of the story.

They stated that they were in Soi 16 when an unnamed buddy of Mr. Mohak approached them and allegedly flirted with one of them. However, that woman was already in a relationship, which resulted in a minor verbal squabble.

Before things got any worse, the women fled to the alley’s mouth. Mr. Ranbir’s group and Mr. Mohak’s group then allegedly met at the alley’s mouth and began physically fighting, leaving Mr. Ranbir with critical injuries.

Initially, the police were skeptical of both sides’ assertions. They stated that they would subsequently summon the injured victim, Ranbir, for further interrogation and check CCTV footage from the vicinity to discover the full sequence of events and who was to blame.
