A deceased male tourist, believed to be of Indian nationality, was discovered floating off the coast of Pattaya’s Walking Street on the morning of February 1st. Local authorities responded promptly to the report, with Pattaya police, tourist police, immigration officers, and rescue personnel arriving at the scene around 10:30 AM. The body, found approximately 20 meters from the shore near Soi 14, was estimated to have been deceased for at least three hours.
The deceased individual, believed to be between 40 and 50 years old, was wearing black shorts and a brown T-shirt. Initial examination of the body did not reveal any obvious signs of foul play. Ms. Supaporn Thanudetkhiri, a 25-year-old employee at a nearby restaurant on Walking Street, reported spotting the body near the back of her establishment and promptly alerted the authorities.
Preliminary inspection by the Pattaya police suggested that the deceased may be of Indian origin, but his exact identity remains unknown at this time. Authorities are currently conducting investigations by examining missing person reports and accommodation records to establish his identity. The body has been transported to Banglamung Hospital for further investigation.
