Hooked rods the way forward

On July 19, Pattaya police performed a fake scenario to train officers in dealing with armed and dangerous individuals wielding long-bladed weapons in an effort to strengthen their emergency response capabilities. Given the potential for serious hazards posed by such scenarios, the importance of utilizing safe and effective procedures during apprehension was emphasized.

During the simulation, cops proved their readiness to confront armed individuals while protecting both the public and themselves. The training highlighted the value of quick decision-making, smart approaches, and efficient communication among police officers.

Similarly, the national police office has taken a critical step in providing anti-riot hooked rods to Thai police officers around the country. These critical tools are part of an endeavor to improve law enforcement’s ability to control and subdue disruptive persons.

The effectiveness of these hooked rods in dealing with those who exhibit disorderly behavior, as well as those under the influence of drugs or dealing with mental health concerns, has been demonstrated. The police intend to limit the need for close physical contact with potentially violent criminals by supplying officers with this specialized equipment, hence improving safety during confrontations.
