Heavy rainstorm wreaks havoc in Phang-nga

Heavy rainstorm

A heavy rainstorm pulled down four electricity poles in front of the rubber research center in Taimuang district of the southern Thai province of Phang-nga early this morning (Oct 12, 2020), the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.

It took about one hour for technicians to repair a power generator and provide electricity to local residents.

No one was hurt but a car was severely damaged.

Meanwhile, Phang-nga Deputy Governor Boonterm Raynumart has instructed local officials in 8 districts to be prepared for an evacuation of local residents and tourists if the tropical storm Linfa hits the city.
