This upcoming holiday 2 Expressways and 2 Motorways will allow free access to use the roads this Songkran of 2019.
The Expressway Authority of Thailand or EXAT has revealed that there will be 4 tollways opening for free access this Songkran as a gift to the people and another solution to help lessen the traffic that takes place every year during the Songkran holiday.
The 4 tollways will be free from 00.01 on the 10th of this month to midnight of the 18th. This comes to a total of 9 days where citizens can use the tollway for free. The tollways are free to access from both sides of the entry. This is good news for those who will need to use the tollways during the Songkran holiday and to those who are planning to take their personal vehicles out for a holiday.
- Burapha Withi Expressway: This expressway begins in Bangna district, Bangkok and ends at Chonburi City, Chonburi province. The total length of the expressway road is at 55 Kilometers or 34.3 Miles.
2. Thanon Kanchanaphisek Expressway: This expressway begins in Rama II road into the area referred to as the Old Bangkok, into Nonthaburi province, Pathum Thani province, and ends on Phaholyothin road, Ayutthaya province. The total length of the expressway road is at 168 Kilometers or 104 miles.
3. Motorway No.7: This Motorway begins in Srinakarin road, Bangkok and ends at Sukhumvit road, Pattaya city, Chonburi province. The total length of the Motorway is at 125 Kilometers or 78 Miles.
Motorway No.9: This Motorway begins in Bang Pa-In, Ayutthaya province and ends at Bang Pli, Samut Prakan province.
