Foreign passenger in Phuket attempts knife attack on taxi driver

In Phuket, an incident unfolded where a female foreign passenger, reportedly carrying a knife, purportedly made an attempt to assault a female taxi driver.

The altercation was documented in a video that gained traction on social media earlier this week. According to the individual who shared the footage, the taxi driver was in the process of dropping off the unidentified foreign passenger in Pa Klok, but the passenger refused to disembark from the vehicle.

Initially requesting a ride to Patong, the passenger altered her destination to Rawai upon arrival. Yet, upon reaching the final stop, she declined to settle the taxi fare. In an alarming turn of events, she retrieved a knife from a nearby hotel and held it menacingly towards the taxi driver.

The taxi driver, whose identity has been safeguarded for privacy reasons, has cautioned her colleagues about dealing with such disruptive passengers who demand multiple destinations without remunerating the fare. Specifics about the tourist and the driver involved have not been disclosed.
