Foreign man injured after a knife attack in Pattaya

The late-night violent incident began in Pattaya, an island resort on the coast. According to local authorities, a foreign guy was savagely attacked with a knife in the city late last night and suffered serious injuries.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Thatsak Jiratikulchai, a Pattaya Police investigator, reported that the attack happened on Soi Jomtien 13 in tambon Nong Prue, Bang Lamung district.

About 10 minutes after midnight, the incident was reported to the authorities. Police and emergency personnel who arrived on the site found the foreign man lying in a pool of blood. His identification and nationality have not yet been established.

The victim, who had suffered six stab wounds to the neck and torso, claimed that a buddy had attacked him.

The victim was captured on security camera footage riding a motorcycle with a passenger and arriving at Soi Jomtien 13 in the vicinity.

After the victim stopped the motorcycle, a foreigner approaching him in black pants and a white shirt started stabbing him with a knife.

The attacker kicked the victim repeatedly after he was knocked to the ground before escaping on the victim’s motorcycle.

After making some attempts to leave the area while still bleeding, the injured man eventually fainted around 20 meters away. The police were quickly notified by witnesses to the vicious assault, and they are now actively looking for the offender.
