Foreign Couple Caught Having Sex on Pattaya Beach Urged to Use a Hotel Instead

PATTAYA, Thailand – A Thai man has urged foreign tourists to use hotels for intimate encounters rather than engage in public indecency after he and his friends caught a foreign couple having sex on Krating Lai Beach.

A video of the explicit act, recorded on February 22, quickly went viral on Thai social media after being shared with local news agencies. The couple appeared to believe that the surrounding rocks and trees would conceal them, but their loud noises drew the attention of nearby beachgoers.

One of the witnesses, an 18-year-old Thai man named Bew, told PPTV HD that he and four friends were sitting on the beach enjoying the evening atmosphere when they heard strange noises. Initially concerned that a woman might be in distress, they searched for the source of the sound and discovered a half-naked foreign woman with her naked partner engaging in sex near the rocks.

As more people on the beach noticed the scene, one of Bew’s friends recorded a video. Despite being aware they were being filmed, the couple did not stop. They continued until they finished and then walked into the sea to clean themselves.

Expressing his shock at the incident, Bew stated, “I did not expect anyone to have sex on the beach with so many people around. They should go to a hotel for that.”

According to PPTV HD, Krating Lai Beach has been the site of similar incidents in the past due to its quiet and dark environment at night, which some couples see as an opportunity for public sex.

Bew and his friends did not file a police report. However, had they done so, the foreign couple could have faced a fine of up to 5,000 baht under Section 338 of Thailand’s Criminal Law for public indecency.
