A Thai woman and her foreign lover got into a heated argument in Pattaya that ended with her stabbing him in the leg. She quickly ran away, leaving the knife still in his calf.
When rescuers from Sawang Boriboon arrived at the unidentified foreign man’s side at 11 p.m. yesterday, he had a kitchen knife embedded in his left calf. The event happened on Soi Buakhao in South Pattaya, Nongprue Subdistrict, Banglamung District, Chon Buri Province, a busy public location.
Witnesses claim that the man’s Thai girlfriend, who had already left the scene before the police arrived, was responsible for the stabbing. Onlookers had previously seen the couple bickering before the attack.
The injured foreigner flung a chair at the woman as she tried to pursue him while carrying a fruit knife. He was ultimately stabbed in the calf before Good Samaritans entered the scene to put an end to the altercation. After that, the two parted ways.
Police in Pattaya are attempting to identify the woman who was engaged in the confrontation. It’s interesting to note that the foreign male reportedly declined medical attention, departed the scene before police arrived, and refused to speak to or even wait for investigators.
According to Pattaya Police, they will also attempt to identify the victim of the stabbing since they thought it was “odd” that, despite being the victim, he would flee the scene before authorities could show there.
