A body—possibly of a foreign national—was found floating in the Gulf of Thailand close to Sattahip Bay. A tall male’s body was discovered face down, dressed in black shorts and a shirt with a black collar and the English initials “A&P” on the left chest. On the left wrist, there was a brilliant orange cord that appeared to be jewelry. No personal documents were found. According to preliminary calculations, the person had been dead for three to six days.
Around 6.30 p.m. on the same day, a local fishing boat found the body about 7 nautical miles south of Koh Yor Island. Police detectives are looking through the body for hints. A fishing boat notified the authorities in the late afternoon of the observation of a floating object at sea, which later proved to be a human body.
The Police General Hospital will conduct a forensic examination on the body to ascertain the cause of death. Authorities are simultaneously working with adjacent police stations to look for any missing person reports that fit the deceased person’s description.
