Now 14 parties coalesce to form new Thai government

Now 14 parties coalesce to form new Thai government

Today (Monday) at 1pm, fourteen parties, led by Pheu Thai, will conduct a press conference at parliament to declare their coalition in forming a new government.

The coalition as a whole holds 317 seats in the House of Representatives’ 500 members. As follows:

141 seats at Pheu Thai

Seats in Bhumjaithai, 71

40 seats in Palang Pracharath.

36 seats for United Thai Nation

10 seats in Chartthaipattana

9 seats for prachachat

2 seats on the Pheu Thai Ruam Palang

Pattana Kla chart, 2 seats

Seri Ruam Thai (Thai Liberal), 1 seat

one seat for Plung Sungkom Mai

Thai Thongthee, 1 seat

(1) New Democracy

Mai, a single seat

Thai Teachers for the People, Kru Thai Pheu Prachachon, 1 seat

According to reliable sources, the Palang Pracharath party will be represented by its secretary-general Thamanat Prompao. Srettha Thavisin and Paetongtarn Shinawatra, the two Pheu Thai candidates for prime minister, will not be present at the press conference. Instead, they will host a separate meeting of the MPs at the party headquarters at 3 p.m.

At 2.30 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m. today, the Democrat, Bhumjaithai, and Move Forward parties will have separate sessions with their MPs.
