Real Madrid starlet Endrick didn’t hesitate when faced with a tough choice between his countryman Neymar and his teammate Jude Bellingham. The talented teenager made a quick decision on who he prefers overall.
At just 18 years old, Endrick joined the La Liga giants earlier this summer and made his debut against AC Milan in the United States just last week. A Brazilian reporter posed the question to him regarding the two high-profile players.
When asked to pick between Bellingham and Neymar, Endrick opted for his Real Madrid teammate without delay. Bellingham was eventually bested by Ronaldinho in another category before the reporter presented a new dilemma.
“Cristiano or Lionel Messi?” the reporter asked.
Endrick replied, “Cristiano,” jokingly indicating his admiration for the Portuguese superstar. He has previously expressed a strong appreciation for Ronaldo, stating, “Cristiano Ronaldo is my biggest idol. He’s more than an athlete; he’s an example to follow for everyone.”
Endrick joined Real Madrid from Palmeiras in a deal worth around £50 million, a move that was announced 18 months prior. With Kylian Mbappe also joining the squad, manager Carlo Ancelotti now has a wealth of attacking options at his disposal for the season ahead.
After Endrick’s first appearance, Ancelotti commented, “He has shown great quality and talent, but we need to handle young players carefully, like we did with Arda Güler last year. There’s no need to put pressure on them.”
He praised Endrick’s unique skills: “He’s very fast, incredibly dangerous in tight spaces, and has the ability to turn quickly in small areas. His agility enables him to create space, and these qualities make him a great talent. It’s rare to see a player with such characteristics.”
