In total, eight persons were killed after a minibus collided with a trailer truck in Mueang Chonburi.
According to the Chonburi Highway Volunteer Traffic Police, they were notified of the accident on Motorway 7 on Saturday morning at dawn (April 8th). As emergency crews got on the incident, they discovered the damaged passenger minibus behind the trailer truck on the road.
Four persons were pronounced deceased at the site, while 15 others were injured. At least four additional people have died in hospitals. Law police did not immediately announce their names or nationalities.
According to Chonburi police, details on the crash were limited as of press time, with accounts from witnesses inconsistent and incomplete. After survivors recovered from their injuries, Chonburi police planned to interview them and review their testimony.
Chonburi Police are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the accident in order to pursue further legal action.
