Dutch Tourist Runs Naked in Krabi Hotel, Suffers Injuries After Fall
Krabi, March 24, 2025 – A bizarre incident unfolded at a hotel in Krabi when a 51-year-old Dutch tourist, identified as Ronald Hillmar, was found running naked through the premises in an apparent state of hallucination before tumbling down the stairs and sustaining injuries.
Erratic Behavior Alarms Hotel Staff
The incident occurred around 3:30 PM when hotel employees on Chao Fah Road noticed Hillmar behaving strangely, yelling incoherently and refusing to wear clothes. Staff made several attempts to calm him down, but his agitated state persisted, forcing them to contact the police and emergency responders.
Police Intervention and Medical Treatment
Upon arrival, Krabi City Police found Hillmar barricaded inside his room, still naked and highly agitated. Officers convinced him to get dressed, but his erratic behavior continued.
It was evident that he had suffered bruises from a fall down the stairs, likely due to intoxication or drug use. Despite needing medical attention, Hillmar refused hospitalization, shouting at both staff and officers. Eventually, police and rescue workers had no choice but to restrain him on a stretcher and transport him to Krabi Hospital for treatment.
Unclear Cause of Hallucination
Authorities are still investigating whether drugs, alcohol, or a combination of both triggered Hillmar’s behavior.
Hotel staff reported that he had checked in earlier that day and was scheduled to leave in the evening. However, when they went to check on him at checkout time, his disturbing behavior escalated, culminating in his nude dash through the hotel and dangerous fall.
